Our current exhibit is Middletown at War: The American Revolution. This original exhibit focuses on the war as it occurred in the modern borders of Middletown, the events that happened here, and the people who lived and fought here. Also available for sneak preview will be items related to the train station's history and other transportation methods in Middletown.
Renovations to the Historic Train Station, which houses the Middletown History Museum, will soon be underway. Until those are complete, the Middletown History Museum will be open to the public on specific dates. We invite you to view the building and preview our exhibits (which will be further enhanced after the renovations are complete)! Planned dates and times are below. Check here or email us before you visit to see if there have been any changes. - Sat, May 30: 4pm - 7 pm (part of Middletown's "Road to Liberty" Block Party on Kings Highway) - Sat, June 6: 11am - 2pm - Sun, June 14, 11am - 2pm TENTATIVE PENDING CONSTRUCTION - Sat, June 20, 11am - 2pm (also visit the adjacent Middletown Arts & Crafts Festival) TENTATIVE PENDING CONSTRUCTION - Sun, June 28, 9am - 12pm (Monmouth County's "Red, White, and You" Parade will start at the train station) The Middletown History Museum is located at 1 Railroad Avenue in the Daily Commuter Parking Lot across from the Middletown Arts Center. |
